Queensland Rail receives many requests for filming and photography on and around our stations, city network and long distance network and trains. This includes film crews, travel writers, social influencers, photographers and bloggers. All parties must complete a request to be assessed by Queensland Rail before any media activity can commence. This detail and link is for requests specifically for media activity in, on or around Queensland Rail Travel long distance services.
Media Travel Request
Each request is considered on its merit and there are no guarantees of permission being granted. Safety is our number one priority and this will guide our decision whether or not to allow the request. Applications will also be considered having regard to the benefits for Queensland Rail Travel and your alignment with our brand and values.
Your expression of interest should include as much detail as possible, an outline of your story or angle, your credentials and the media outlet you are representing. If you are a freelance travel writer please let us know which publications you wish to pitch your story to.
We request the following form be submitted outlining your objectives in addition to proof of work, to be considered. Please allow at least 10 business days in advance of your visit for us to respond.
